I recently came across some news about the practice of dog dyeing in China. To say the least I was appalled at such a practice. They supposedly bleach the poor animals before applying the dyes. And who knows what is in those dyes. Poor dogs must be stressed and traumatized by the process, I am sure. They are dyed to look like tigers, pandas, zebras, and a variety of other animals. All this is done for showing off the dogs at a dog shows. I think the Chinese have killed all the tigers for medicinal and food purposes, so now they are resorting to dogs after making them look like tigers. If people are so fond of making their dogs look like something else may I suggest pet costumes. No harm to the animal and can be undone quickly. Below is a picture of what the dogs look like after dyeing. Here is a link to the orginal story.
