Halloween II was released in theatres last Friday and was a huge disappointment for horror fans ( at least for the mojority of us). It is currently 6th on the list of most popular movies this week on yahoo movies and has grossed $17 Million at the box office. Users rated it at B- on yahoo movies and it is currently rated at a dismal 21% on the Tomatometer. Apparently, the fans were disappointed with the diversion from the original Halloween II movie. The new movies focused on the Laurie's traumatic state after her last encounter with Michael Myers and I think most horror movie fans didn't appreciate the lack of plot. People only looking for pure gore might have liked it but how many of us just watch movies for gore while ignoring the story. Critics have used phrases like "poor and patchy plot", "boring", "unfocused", and "most moronic horror film" to describe the movie. I think Michael should learn from this and spare us from a third installment of Michael Myers, at least for sometime.
