Captain James T. Kirk was the Commanding officer of Starfleet USS Enterprise.  Handsome and charismatic Lead character of the original star trek series, he was the first student of the Startleet academy to defeat the Kobayashi Maru test. He became the youngest captain when he received command of the USS Enterprise and since led the mission to boldly go where no man has before. His ability to make judgment calls based on his gut instincts and morality instead of just the starfleet rule earned him the respect, friendship, loyalty, and admiration of his crew. Somewhat a ladies man Kirk once flits with Nyota Uhura while drunk only to see her disapproval (she likes Spoc). After this breif cold episode she eventually forgives Kirk and he is able to earn her respect yet again. Captain Kirk consider First Officer Spock and Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy as friends and relies on them for the day to day operations of the USS enterprise. One of the most decorated Captains, he eventually gets promoted to the post of Admiral.
