Rocky Mountain Fur Con takes place annually in Denver Colorado. The first fur con took place in June 2007 at the Adam Mark hotel in Denver. Fur Con 2008 saw a 35% increase in attendance over 2007 with 319 attendees list. Rocky Mountain Fur Con 2009  took place at the Crowne Plaze on August 7th through 9th. This years theme was "A Wild Night on the Town". Furry conventions typical draw the crowd from people who are intrigued by fictional non-human (not to say that humans can't be furry) creatures or characters with human characteristics. There are more than 40 such conventions. The conventions typically have tutorials on anthropomorphic culture, stand up comedy shows, musics, games, rele playing, puppetry among other activities. Attendees also exchange ideas on arts, costumes and other related products.
