Vulgar, shocking and friggin' Hilarious, crude, insanely distasteful, extremely offensive, these are some of the adjectives used when describing the bruno character and Sacha Baron Cohen's comedy in general. His satirical and offensive comedy has created  three characters so far, Ali G, Borat, and Bruno.

Bruno

The comedy blockstar bruno movie was released in summer of 2009 and was well received by the Borat fans. Bruno played by Scaha himself is a gay austrian fashion journalist. We got the first look of Bruno when he gate crashes fashion show in Milan in the sep 2008 trailer. In the moview Bruno interviews guests ranging from several areas like fashion, entertainment, homosexuals, and celebrities. He presses special emphasis on the subject of homosexuality through out his interview process. He supposedly also has a Gay show on Austrian Gay TV.  He has been sort of blacklisted in the Austrain fashion scene and in search of his celebrity status arrives in the US. His intial landing happens in New York but eventually moves to the
American heartland the deep south.
Sacha showed up at the MTV awards dressed up as Bruno in a winged angel costume
managed to anger Eminem and the D12 members who left the awards after Bruno managed to align his rear in Eminem's face.

Borat: cultural learnings of america for make benefit of glorious nation of kazakhstan
If Bruno is the flamboyant gay journalist Borat was a sexist Kazakh TV news show anchor and journalist. He arrives in the United Stated in order to film a special documentary on American costoms and the culture. After watching Baywatch he becomes obsessed with Pamela Anderson but eventually finds his true love in prostitutes a plus-size African-American woman.

Ali G Indahouse was a disappointing and straight-to-DVD movie about a British Hip Hopper.
It doesn't deserve much discussion but the hip hopper costume was an ultimate.

Sacha's charcters Bruno, Ali G and Borat have unfortunately been retired. The Bruno character and Sacha have been critisized by many Gay, Lesbian, and Transgender groups for
spreading streotypes and misleading the general population. On the other hand some are thankful about the fact that this characters brings to light some institutionalized homophobia issues.  Borat was even sued and has been issued death threats because of his provoking comedy.

If you like contravery or you just plain like to be obnoxious to people (at least during halloween), Bruno is your character. If you like a little more straight character then I would go for the Borat costume. You don't have to wear the Mankini Costume if you are a normal person. A wig and moustache can give you the Borat looks.
